Explosion-Proof Ultra High Purity PPB Oxygen Analyser

Mar 17 2015

The all-new GPR-18 MS Ultra High Purity PPB Oxygen Analyzer from Advanced Instruments Inc. (USA) is the first of its kind capable of measuring oxygen contamination levels of ethylene and other petrochemical applications in parts per billion (PPB) to improve product quality and yield. This unit has been designed for plants that produce high quality explosive gases such as ethylene, hydrogen, and light hydrocarbons (methane, ethane, propane, and butane).

From a safety standpoint, the GPR-18 MS UHP is certified explosion-proof to ATEX Directive 94/9/EC for hydrogen service. The ATEX hazardous area classification Ex d IIB+H2 T6 or T5 equates to Class I, Division 1, Groups B, C, D.

An advanced electrochemical Pico-Ion PPB oxygen sensor combined with a stainless steel sample system that includes welded and VCR connections provide a 0-200 PPB full scale low measuring range and enable the GPR-18 MS UHP to generate reliable single digit PPB level oxygen readings. The sensor requires no maintenance and tracks oxygen levels from 2000 PPM to below 10 PPB over 5 full scale ranges in addition to: Superior stability and sensitivity at PPB oxygen levels, Specific to oxygen assuring accuracy and linearity, Fast response and recover time, and Easy to replace after extended 12 month service life.

The GPR-18 MS UHP is equipped with standard analogue outputs, but more importantly, a sample system specifically designed to minimise downtime and operating costs. A unique bypass system serves to isolate the sensor (extending its life) at low PPB oxygen during maintenance turnarounds, high oxygen excursions, and line changes. An integral scrubber system removes oxygen from the sample gas eliminating the need for zero gas. For added reliability and accuracy, the interior electronics and sample lines are temperature controlled and the resulting signal output is compensated for changes in temperature.
