User Course Builds Strong Customer Bonds

Aug 21 2008

Customer relationships were highlighted as key to the ongoing success of Endress+Hauser at a recent user course for E+H customers from all over the world. Petro Industry News` publisher Marcus Pattison attended the course and reports on how initiatives such as this are fundamental to the company`s business philosophy.
In line with the company`s publicly stated commitment to `learn from the customers that it serves` E+H invited over 80 delegates from all
corners of the globe to the company`s corporate headquarters in April this year for a week long course that provided an insight into the
company’s latest technologies, quality and calibration procedures and business philosophy.
Welcoming the attendees, E+H Global Industry Manager, Oil and Gas, Reinhold Bietzker said, “Our intention is to provide you with an `insiders view` of the company, including visits to production sites and
providing you with the opportunity to meet our staff and discuss your applications so that we can learn from you and offer help and advice on a wide range of applications. We hope that in doing so we will provide
you with the necessary trust and confidence to establish a long lasting relationship with us.”
Many of the delegates expressed their admiration for the manner in which E+H has managed to become a highly sophisticated market-leading global company whilst retaining the friendliness and core values of a family owned business.
Delivering the keynote presentation E+H CEO Klaus Endress, outlined the benefits to customers of the `spirit of Endress+Hauser`, adding, “As an autonomous independent corporation we are able to focus our efforts on customer satisfaction; we aim to be regarded globally as the first choice for solutions within a wide range of process measurement instrumentation.
We continuously develop our employees; we foster a responsible attitude towards the community and the environment, whilst ensuring economic success. Endress+Hauser strives to be `Simply the Best`.”
For many of the presentations, delegates were split into small groups so that sessions could be interactive, providing ample opportunity for application specific discussions on measurement instrumentation, services and solutions for industrial process engineering.
These sessions included: Oil field applications; Good gas flow measurement practice; Liquid flow measurement; Choosing the best flow measurement technology; Flow calibration and standards; Good level measurement practice; Installation effects; Project management;
Application of IEC 61511 and IEC 61508; Fieldbus technology; Plant asset
management; Analytical measurements; Good tank gauging practice; Web
based solutions and Engineered solutions for temperature measurement
In common with all of the world`s companies that are successful over the long term, Endress+Hauser has established a business philosophy that has underpinned its operations since the company`s inception.
Endress+Hauser`s core values are listed in a `Charta` and first amongst these is a commitment to learn from customers and to establish long term relationships with them.
Judging by the responses of the training course attendees, E+H`s relationships were greatly strengthened by the event which bodes well for the company`s continued prosperity in the years to come.
