A Viscometer Steps into the Future

Jun 15 2009

The SVM 3000 Stabinger Viscometer by Anton Paar (Austria) has already moved from fascinating novelty to a recognized and standardized solution. A great number of users equip their laboratory with SVM 3000 due to its countless advantages over conventional capillary viscometers. The new SVM 3000 Firmware 3.0 enables easier and faster operation of the instrument – resulting in up to 50 % more sample throughput. The new measurement mode concept offers 4 different precision levels, starting with ’Ultra-fast’ up to ’Precise’. The higher the number of the default mode is, the longer the measurement takes and the higher the results’ precision gets. Additionally, a new generation of Xsample sample handling units featuring the unparalled Xpress technology provides sample filling of much higher viscosities, quicker filling times, sample recovery, the option to define a priority run and an automatic cleaning check.
