A gas explosion in Alberta, Canada is still being investigated after a pipeline operated by Pengrowth Energy erupted earlier this week.
The Calgary Herald reports the incident resulted in flames shooting into the sky of Swan Hills over the weekend, although the personal safety of employees was not endangered, with no one being injured.
There was no evidence of tampering with the site, Royal Canadian Mounted Police have claimed, but the cause still remains unknown.
"It is still early in the investigation," spokesman for Pengrowth Energy Wassen Khalil said.
Despite the fact repairs will take up to ten days to complete, meaning 2,200 barrels per day of oil equivalent will be lost, Mr Khalil stated the outage will not have "much" of an impact on the firm.
According to the organisation, it aims to provide value through operating a number of low-cost, minimal risk facilities across the Canadian Sedimentary Basin.
