Gas detector to improve safety of confined spaces
Oct 21 2011
The Personal Surveyor (PS200 Series) product range has been unveiled by the Scotland-based Gas Measurement Instruments Ltd (GMI), a manufacturer with a long history in the production of gas detection equipment.
It is hoped that the new gas detector will be sold internationally to make these industrial safety, shipping and utility markets safer.
The manufacturers claim that the PS200 is a small but very robust gas detector that can detect four gases simultaneously and 15 combinations of flammable or toxic gases such as oxygen, hydrogen sulphide and carbon monoxide gas.
According to Gmiuk.com, this gas detector provides unrivalled protection in confined space applications, with audible and visual alarms in the event of exposure.
Meanwhile, High Performance Gas Chromatography Detectors have been unveiled at the 49th JAIMA EXPO in Chiba, Japan.
