New Bench Scale Crude Oil Distillation System

Pilodist® (Germany) – the specialist in laboratory crude oil distillation systems according to ASTM procedures D-2892, D-5236 and D-1160 has launched the new bench scale distillation system Petrodist® 500 Q (Quickdist) for crude oil analysis of small quantities.

The system is designed similarly to ASTM D-2892 and allows operation with a 500 ml flask to analyse from 150 to 350 ml crude oil in atmospheric and vacumn distillation runs.

A special fraction collector system allows two different sizes of receivers or alternatively a single final receiver.

The computer control provides either automatic operation of each of the individual atmospheric or vacumn distillation runs or alternatively manual operation.

The system is very flexible and can be also used with our high efficient concentric tube column for other research purposes in the

pharmaceutical, chemical and flavor & fragrance industry or chemical institutes in universities.
