HFRR Lubricity Testing Highest Quality and Fully Compliant Upper / Lower Test Specimens from a New Manufacturer
Oct 15 2009
Lubricity is one of the key physical properties for which (ultra) low sulphur diesel fuels, heating oil, gasoil products and other Distillate Oils have to be tested. The High Frequency Reciprocating Rig (HFRR) test according to
the ASTM D6079, CEC F-06-A-96, IP450 and ISO 12156-1 is the most well known method throughout the world to determine lubricity.
Belgium’s European Lab Services (E.L.S.) is a leading supplier and ISO17025 accredited service company for petroleum testing equipment. They are pleased to offer fully approved HFRR specimens of unparalleled quality as an official second source supplier to the petroleum industry worldwide.
The HFRR specimens E.L.S. offer are the result of years of research and are guaranteed to meet the stringent requirements of the existing standards that are mentioned above.
The lower specimens are made of AISI E-52100 steel and both the raw materials as well as the finished product have been research by the manufacturer on hardness (Vickers and Rockwell). Additionally specimens
are subjected to roughness analysis and have been tested with the low and high reference fluids by an independent laboratory.
Apart from these tests, every box of specimen is also examined visually, microscopically and verified for dimensions before they are shipped to the customer. Both low and high certified reference standards (DF-70-00 and
DF-92-02) are also available from European Lab Services.
