Industry’s first full-function, ATEX approved personal multi-gas monitor integrates cutting edge sensor technology for peace of mind in multi gas environments

Sep 14 2021

NevadaNano recently announced that Crowcon is using the Molecular Property Spectrometer™ (MPS™) sensors in their new range of Gasman flammable gas detectors. The Gasman offers personnel a highly reliable single device to detect and alert them of the presence of 19 potentially dangerous gases in at their place of work.

NevadaNano offers a wide range of sensors for flammable gases, all of which deliver unsurpassed reliability and precision. Unlike most sensors on the market, an MPS sensor precisely reports 0-100% LEL across 19 flammable gases, such as hydrogen, with one factory calibration and no field maintenance over their lifetime. With MPS technology there is now a flexible sensor platform which is ideal for complex industrial environments with blended combustible gases, where the precision of the gas detector may save lives.

MPS sensors offer integrated, real-time data with compensation for temperature, pressure, and humidity ensuring the operator of a superb level precision. MPS sensors do not succumb to drift, decay, or poisoning. Gas concentration readings are accurate and reliable in every respect, including rapid environmental transients and giving end users best-in-class false-positive accuracy.

Crowcon’s Gasman with MPS is ATEX Zone 0 approved, this enables end users to safely enter areas where an explosive gas atmosphere is present continuously or for long periods. Moreover, utilising MPS sensor quadruples battery life in comparison to legacy solutions, thus offering protection to personnel workers for significantly longer periods of time.

The Gasman with MPS is hydrogen (H2) ready; an MPS sensor detects hydrogen and common hydrocarbons precisely without recalibration in a fail-safe, poison-resistant solution.
